Finding the Combination - A Problem-Solving Game (PART 3)

PART 3

This is a  blog-based   problem-solving game that involves some thinking, but it is designed to be fairly straightforward. It is somewhat similar to popular problem-solving games.

We begin this game with you as the trusted butler of Dr. James Granite's large mansion and estate. Dr. Granite is a very wealthy businessman and landowner. And, he has many greedy enemies. It just so happened that his security was breached (broken through) and an intruder had entered his opulent (wealthy) mansion. You will need your thinking cap to help Dr. Granite solve a problem.

(If you have not solved Part 2 yet, try clicking on this link for Part 2. Click here for Part 1.)

Slide 4. (Click the image to enlarge it.)

Having solved the question of where Dr. Snorkelheim hid the stolen plans...

-- Note 4.   You go to the kitchen in Dr. Granite's mansion and find a suitcase safe hidden under a trap door beneath the dishwasher.    You try to pull the suitcase safe out through the trap door but find that the suitcase is bolted to the floor.     The plans stolen from Dr. Granite's library safe are in this suitcase. We must not let them fall into the wrong hands.

-- Note 5.    To get the plans out, you need to enter the correct 4-digit code into the number pad on the suitcase. You see a piece of paper taped to the suitcase.

The piece of paper taped to the suitcase says:

"The correct 4-digit code cannot be solved. You wasted your time. Ha. Ha. Ha. But, I will give you a hint. The 5 is important. The 5 is important to your quest.   ? ? ?     -  Dr. Snorkelheim."

(HINT:  Look at the pictures in PART 2 again for clues.)

-- Note 6. And, the 4-digit code to the suitcase safe is:   __  __  __  __ .
